During the summer months, Excelsior'20 is captivated by the King of Sports: cricket. The first cricket team has been competing at the highest level in the Netherlands for years and has become Dutch champion in the men's top division no fewer than 11 times in the past 25 years. The cricket competition is followed by a large audience in the Rotterdam-Schiedam-The Hague region. Many spectators come to watch the proceedings during home matches of Excelsior'20 men's first team. A real grass wicket, the atmospheric clubhouse, and the beautiful location amidst lush greenery ensure that the grounds are highly appreciated by both players and visitors.

In addition to the two selection teams, cricket is also played enthusiastically by Zami’s, Zomi’s, and a women's team. We are well represented in the national youth competition with teams in the U9, U11, U13, U15, and U17 categories. In the U15 pool, in addition to a boys' team, a complete girls' team is also active. The youngest youth (6-8 years old) are welcome every Friday for the Tip&Run training sessions.

Excelsior’20 is a close-knit club. Many families and groups of friends have been members for years, and some lifelong friendships started at Excelsior’20. In addition to cricket matches and training, all kinds of events are organized every season for members, parents of youth members, sponsors, and other fans of the club. Because besides performing, having fun is the most important thing.

We are proud of our club; the 100th anniversary in 2020 was fantastic.
