Salland CC

Salland CC

Established in 2005

Salland CC was founded on May 5, 2005. Salland CC's vision is to be a sportingly and financially sound club in the Deventer region with a solid long-term viability. There is room to play both competitive and recreational cricket.

Salland CC is one of six clubs in the Netherlands with so-called grass pitches. Grass pitches are the international standard on which cricket is played.

Since 2010, Salland CC has held One Day International (ODI) status. Many national team matches are played in Deventer annually. The Dutch national team is a regular guest in Deventer to play important matches.

Salland CC is the only club in the Netherlands that possesses two fields with grass pitches, giving it a unique position in the Dutch cricket world. In Deventer, play is permitted exclusively on grass.

Salland CC has been promoted many times since its founding in 2005. The first team has been playing in the Hoofdklasse, the second-highest level in the Netherlands, for several years. In addition, two teams compete in lower leagues, and the club has a growing youth department. This makes Salland CC the largest cricket club in the east of the Netherlands.

An extensive coaching staff provides training and education for players.
