SGS (Still Going Strong Cricket Club)

Established in 1929

SGS Cricket Club: play more cricket matches than just your own match on Saturday or Sunday.

SGS is an active cricket club for players aged 35 and over, without its own field or clubhouse. We play about 60 matches per season throughout the Netherlands, acting as guests at cricket clubs. We play these matches in the afternoon on weekdays.

As a member of SGS, you can sign up for matches of your own choosing. It is therefore a great addition to the matches you play at your club on the weekend, or a nice alternative if you prefer to keep your weekend free for other activities.

In addition to matches against cricket clubs in and outside the Netherlands, we also regularly play internal matches, including special ones for those over 55.

Furthermore, we regularly go on tours abroad. Every year, SGS participates in the Four Nations Tournament with similar clubs from England, Denmark, and Spain. Furthermore, SGS has a thriving golf section, and during the winter months, the contact committee organizes outings such as bicycle tours, city walks, boat trips, museum visits, and the New Year's reception (“meet-and-greet”).

SGS is alive and growing and is open to new members!
