VRA

VRA (Volharding RAP Amstels)

Established in 1882

VRA is one of the oldest and leading cricket clubs in the Netherlands. At the beautiful NOC-NSF facility with international AAA status, VRA has served as the home of the Dutch National Cricket Team for years. International matches are played annually on the main ground, with highlights including matches between the Netherlands and cricket giants such as England, Australia, India, Pakistan, South Africa, and Sri Lanka. Additionally, touring teams from all corners of the globe are welcomed.

As an Amsterdam Sports Association, VRA is represented at all levels of Dutch cricket. This includes the Top Class with the 1st team, which has been in the highest ranks for years, as well as at all other levels with competitive teams on Sundays and the famous recreational Zami competition on Saturdays, the Top Class Women's team, and various youth teams in all age categories. Furthermore, VRA accommodates corporate teams with players from all over the world. VRA also makes a great impression on guests, players, and officials as the host of the largest cricket event in the Netherlands, the famous India Day. Cricket at VRA means playing the sport responsibly at all levels, training with the best international coaches, and of course, enjoying the rich club life at one of the finest sports grounds in the Netherlands.

The club is a reflection of the city of Amsterdam, with a diverse mix of cricket families and a substantial expat community. The breadth of the club means that there is a team for everyone that matches their level and ambition. As a multicultural club, the leading VRA can look forward to a growing membership base with players from virtually every continent in the world. Cricket connects, and not least at VRA in the Amsterdamse Bos.
