Belfast and Edinburgh win ETPL clashes
After the neighborly rivalry between Amsterdam and Rotterdam on Wednesday, the Scots and the Irish were at each other's proverbial throats on Thursday. In the morning, Belfast Wolves comfortably beat Dublin Guardians. In the afternoon, Edinburgh Castle Rockers had no trouble with Glasgow Cosmic.
The Wolves posted a solid 184/7, mainly thanks to a magnificent partnership between Glenn Maxwell (60) and Mark Chapman (54). Dublin Guardians reached 132/9, thanks to 35 runs from Irish all-rounder George Dockrell.
In the afternoon, Glasgow Cosmic stumbled from a dismal 66/6 to 115 all out. Left arm seamer Trent Boult was superior with 5-24 before Andries Gous and Ross Adair finished the job for Edinburgh Castle Rockers in just over eleven overs.
