KNCB nominates Victor van Koolwijk as new treasurer

Victor brings extensive professional experience in finance, having fulfilled a wide variety of financial roles throughout his career. 

His connection with cricket began when his youngest daughter took up the sport. What started as family involvement soon grew into a genuine passion for the game and an active role at Voorburg Cricket Club (VCC).

Victor has served on the VCC Board since 2020, initially responsible for Accommodation, with Treasury and Events later added to his portfolio.

Victor joins the KNCB Board as Jacques Van Zuydam steps down as Treasurer to become interim Chairman. Jacques has served as KNCB Treasurer since his appointment on 13 March 2025: “This appointment marks an important step in ensuring continuity and strengthening the KNCB Board as we continue working toward the future of Dutch cricket.”

Victor is particularly enthusiastic about the road ahead: "Given the size of the sport in the Netherlands compared with cricket globally, I firmly believe there is ample room to develop it further here, both in high performance cricket and at the grassroots level. I'm looking forward to joining the KNCB Board and helping shape this exciting future."

KNCB’s Interim Chairman Jacques van Zuydam commented: “I am extremely pleased to welcome Victor to the KNCB Board. Finding the right person to take over the Treasurer role was particularly important to me as I have moved into the interim Chairman position. Victor brings not only considerable financial experience, but also first-hand knowledge of Dutch club cricket and, above all, a real enthusiasm for the game. I look forward to working closely with him as part of the Board as we continue building a strong and sustainable future for cricket in the Netherlands.”
