In Deventer, the Royals beat the Hurricanes on DLS in a rain-battered Fairtree ProSeries match: 162/7/30 – 76/7/20.3.
The Fairtree ProSeries brought the Hurricanes and the Royals to Salland on Tuesday, where the Hurricanes allowed the Royals to bat first. In the innings, which was shortened to thirty overs, the Royals reached 162/7, mainly thanks to Damien van den Berg (60), who, together with Zach Lion-Cachet (34, brilliantly caught by Levitt at short mid wicket), made an 84-run partnership for the second wicket. In the late middle order, Lucas del Bianco (32 not out) ensured a defensible total was recorded. Olivier Elenbaas, Clayton Floyd, and Sebastiaan Braat each took two wickets.
The Hurricanes made no impression with the bat as four players were dismissed on their first ball. At the rain break, the score stood at 76/7/20.3 (Michael Levitt 34), with wonderful bowling figures for spinners Roelof van der Merwe, Michael Rippon, and Zach Lion-Cachet as the Royals won on DLS.
With this result, the Seafarers, the Hurricanes, and the Royals have each won one game. The next series follows in July (subject to change).
