Sharks beat Suns in Fairtree T20 SuperSeries

A few years ago, a level was established between the domestic leagues and the nationals team for both men and women. Young talents can showcase their skills in this Fairtree-sponsored competition.

 The Sharks won the toss and chose to bat. Babette de Leede (36) and Georgia Atkinson (34) laid down 81 runs for the first wicket before Atkinson retired. Later, Carlijn van Koolwijk and Frédérique Overdijk (both 21) also retired as Hannah Landheer took 2-34.

 Apart from Phebe Molkenboer (28), the Suns had no answer to the Sharks' varied attack, in which Myrthe van den Raad, Isabel van der Woning, and Frédérique Overdijk each took a wicket.

 The match was – weather-wise as well – good preparation for the trip to Scotland, where the Netherlands will play a TriSeries against Bangladesh and the host country at the end of May.
