- Brilliant Kloppenburg overpowers Jersey in T10

Netherlands A left Jersey without a chance during the European T10 Championship at the Spanish Cartama Oval on Thursday. Jersey's 124 runs (Perchard 52*) were surpassed in just 6.5 overs. Teun Kloppenburg made a spectacular 68.
Asa Tribe (32 from 12) looked dangerous. By the end of the innings, Perchard made an attractive 52 not out of 17 balls, leaving Jersey at 124/7. Arnav Jain (3-20) and Olivier Elenbaas (2-22) came off the field with the best figures, Elenbaas thanks in part to a fantastic catch at deep fine leg by Viv Kingma.
Roel Verhagen (13) and Teun Kloppenburg (68 off 21!) gave the Netherlands A a flying start (37/1/2.3). Kloppenburg showed no compassion when he hit left arm spinner Britton for 29 in one over, including two reverse sweeps for six. The rather ridiculous score when Kloppenburg went out was 106/2/5.4. Smiling broadly, the 16-year-old giant came off the field.
Because of this batting violence, the excellent innings of Shirase Rasool (31 not off 12 balls) almost went unnoticed. After six overs and five balls, the game was played.
On Friday, reigning European T10 champion Netherlands A will play the final round, where it will – among others - meet a strong English team.
