Dutch women qualify for T10 finals day
Published at 19 December, 2024Despite a loss against Ireland, the Netherlands will enter finals day as number 2.
Against Ireland the Dutch were unable to cope with some strong bowling. Merel Dekeling top scored with 18 and Rosalie Lawrence contributed 16.
Due to Sophie MacMahon’s 32 not out the Irish had no trouble whatsoever going past 78 Dutch runs. Isabel van der Woning excelled with 3-10.
The Dutch did not need to chase 138 English runs due to rain (Robin Schmidt 2-9). The Netherlands finished second in the group stage and will now take on the winner of the Scotland vs Ireland match on Friday.
