Europe gets own T20 Premier League
Published at 06 January, 2025For the first time in cricket history Europe will have its own international cricket league. The European T20 Premier League is a partnership involving the national cricket organisations in Ireland, Scotland and the Netherlands in which several so-called franchises will take part. The first edition of the event will be held between July 15 and August 3.
The event has a strategic partner in Rules Sport Tech. Co-founder of the event is Indian actor, sports enthusiast and entrepreneur Abhishek Bachchan.
KNCB chairman Guido Landheer: “The KNCB is very happy with the European T20 Premier League. This league will ensure more top cricket in the Netherlands and offer opportunities for Dutch players to compete with international top players.”
