- Fairtree new partner KNCB
Fairtree is the new partner of the KNCB and shirt sponsor of the National Men’s Cricket Team for the forthcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 and ODI Tour to South Africa in November 2021.
Fairtree (a global investment company), has had a long-held passion for cricket. It started with the development of school cricket at grassroots levels in South Africa and was expanded globally in 2018 with the commencement of their partnership with Gary Kirsten Cricket, a world leading cricket academy.
The purpose of the partnership between the KNCB and Fairtree will be to support the Dutch Men's Cricket Teams' ambitious targets for the upcoming T20 World Cup and the ODI Tour to South Africa in November 2021.
CEO Fairtree, Kobus Nel about the partnership: "We are really proud of the partnership with the Royal Dutch Cricket Federation. The KNCB’s vision to develop and further the game of cricket in The Netherlands and unite all cricket-loving Dutch residents resonated with Fairtree from the outset. Cricket is a fantastic sport that connects people from all backgrounds. Diversity is critical to the game’s development in The Netherlands and a priority is to create an inclusive sporting environment where Dutch players, supporters, coaches, umpires, volunteers, and administrators, feel valued and are able to contribute to the best of their abilities.
Now that Fairtree has increased its international presence, our partnership will help to increase Fairtree´s visibility on the international markets." CEO KNCB, Milena van Not adds: ”Fairtree and Kobus Nel are known for having a deep-rooted passion for cricket,”. It is good to see that alongside Fairtree’s commercial interests, the development of cricket in The Netherlands and diversity play an important part in starting this partnership. Fairtree, besides being a valued shirt sponsor, is also a partner which we are proud of and will play an important role in the development of cricket in The Netherlands.”
