Coach Ryan Campbell has announced his squads for the winter. The next few months will contain a lot of fitness work before the squads begin their skills training at VRA and VOC. Covid-19 permitting, the off season contains a tour to Namibia for ODI's & T20 matches if travelling is allowed and safe.
Winter squad
Ryan Campbell: “The Winter Squad & Dutch Academy Squad again show the ever increasing depth of talent in Dutch cricket. These selections are getting ever increasingly difficult but with one eye on our five Super League Series and a T20 World Cup in 2021, we have made some difficult calls as well as bringing in some exciting new talent. Victor Lubbers is a guy who has churned out the runs for his club for a number of seasons and comes to us with a skill set that will see him push for a spot in our top order.”
Winter squad
Pieter Seelaar (VOC), Vivian Kingma (VCC), Tobias Visée (HBS), Vikram Singh (VRA), Victor Lubbers (Salland), Saqib Zulfiqar (Punjab), Tonny Staal (HCC), Bas de Leede (VCC), Sebastiaan Braat (Hermes DVS), Olivier Elenbaas (Hermes DVS), Clayton Floyd (HCC), Philippe Boissevain (VCC), Julian de Mey (HBS), Leon Turmaine (VRA), Stephan Myburgh (Punjab).
Academy squad
"The Academy, who will work with James Hilditch, Peter Borren & myself is brim full of exciting talent and we are looking forward to working with these guys over winter. Shariz Ahmad gets his first selection after impressing everyone in the U/18s versus the KNCB U/23s matches. His legspin and batting are really exciting. He is joined in the squad by fellow National U/19s players Aryan Dutt & Pierre Jacod as well as former U/19s players Boris Gorlee, Niels Etman & Arnav Jain. Etman is a really exciting all rounder who is an outstanding athlete. Our commitment to push our players through our National Pathway is as strong as it has ever been and our future looks in good shape.”, Campbell said.
