Swift knocks from Levitt, Nidamanuru and Croes brought the necesssary acceleration, which meant that the players could have lunch with a solid 315 all out on the scoreboard. Cameron Hemp took five wickets for the Braves.
The Chennai Braves let themselves down when batting. When Jack Clayton (35 off 24 balls) was dismissed by Kyle Klein, the score was 49/3. Seamers (Kyle Klein 3-19) as well as spinners (Clayton Floyd 3-31, Aryan Dutt 2‑1) mercilessly went through the Indian batting line-up which was all out for 99 after 19.5 overs.
