- Squad announcement for T20 World Cup Qualifier in Zimbabwe
The ICC Men's T20 World Cup Qualifier B will be played in Zimbabwe from the 11th to the 17th of July 2022. After consulting with assistant coach James Hilditch and captain Scott Edwards, Ryan Cook, the acting coach of the T20 World Cup qualifying team has announced his selection for the tournament.
A total of eight teams will be participating in two groups. The Netherlands will face Papua New Guinea, Hong Kong, and Uganda in the group stage, the other group is made up of Zimbabwe, Jersey (British Isles), Singapore and the United States of America.
Both finalists will qualify for the 2022 ICC T20 World Cup, which will be held in Australia between October and November. The winner of this qualifying tournament will be added to Group B of the T20 World Cup along with Ireland, Scotland and West Indies. The second place finisher in the Qualifier will be added to Group A with Namibia, Sri Lanka, and the United Arab Emirates.
