- Mikki Zwilling
Shane Deitz: “We are looking forward to this series against Ireland who are a great team to play against. The team are very excited to play some 50 over cricket too which is fantastic that we can now concentrate on two formats in the long term. We have three changes to the squad through injury, availability and retirement. We are bringing in three young players in who will give us a boost of youthful energy and enthusiasm. Gwen Bloemen (19) is an exciting allrounder, Robyn van Oosterom (18) a hard-hitting batter and Phebe Molkenboer (17) a spin bowling allrounder. All come into the squad and all have a big future ahead of them in this team. Babette de Leede will captain the team in the absence of Heather Siegers through injury. I look forward to watching her lead this team. Babette is a great leader on and off the field and will do an excellent job. We hope to get considerable crowd support as this will be a hard-fought series and an entertaining one.”
